Yay!! the letter works!! im on talking terms with my mum again :)

This whole week is FOC 2008. hahahah its was not as tiring n shagged as i thought it would be lol. maybe coz we hav alot of programmers this yr (around40??) so we can spread out the workload fairly.
Here's a short summary of wat we did the past few days:
Sun nite- ice breaker and get together
Mon- Pool games n campus walk followed by block orientation n supper at night.
Tue- dragonboat followed by amazing race then end at Christine GG camp in CCK
Wed:In the camp having survivor games n initiation night
Thur: back in school (SRC) for captain's ball n dodgeball n SP preview 2.
FRIGHT NIGHT at night (12mn to 4am) n tonight at the stroke of twelve, its the first day of the hungry ghosts festival :S (im a 'ghost' stationed in the lift EEK!)

Ok though im a christian n i dun really believe in hungry ghosts festival, im still scared hahah
Hope evrything goes well n NORMAL tonight.

This morning mym mum still refused to talk to me. So i boldly went up to her to clairfy things.
Neva asked her she jus kept quiet n when i finally asked her wats she's unhappy abt she jus lashed it all out.

Had a fight wif my mum n now we're having some sort of cold war thing.
Well not exactly 'we', its jus her. And cold war sux esp when we're staying under the same roof :(

It started wif the car. haiya.. it wasnt entirely my fault but yea, im partially responsible too.
My dad told me tt we can drive the car to pick up my nephew but my mum dun wan, say wat mus pay erp n parking need coupons somemore ( i mean lyk hello?? all these cannot be avoided one rite if one's driving, to town esp) then i was quite pissed already coz i wana driveee!!! Plus its was raining tt afternoon n yet my mum said take public transport instead (then wats e pt of having e car?!?)

So to show my defiance n unhappyneess, i din tok to her thruout the train ride there, jus plugged in n listen to my own music. When we came out of the station i jus walked ahead of her but after a while i feel abit bad (i mean she's my mum afterall) so i waited for her. anw it was raining outside so we hadta share the umbrella too. But when she spoke to me i had the 'buay song' tone in my voice haha

Then my dad called n asked where r we. so we said chinatown n he's around tt area so he came n picked us up. Then he asked y we din drive n so i said quite blatantly tt 'Mummy dun wan to drive. say wat its raining n parking need coupons n all'
So my dad started to 'tick' my mum off (say lyk tt la) n my mum became very unhappy n obviously im standing at my dad's side.
Say this say tt n then my mum got pissed. Actually she meant me well (i know) coz it was raining n she think its nt safe for a new driver lyk me to drive (but if i dun practice then nx time when im driving n it rain halfway how? stop at e side n wait for e rain to stop ar? get wat im trying to say, i need to try rite!)

After tt my mum started to not tok to me. even when i tok to her nicely after i cooled off she jus ans me back for e sake of answering lyk wif a few words. Then this morning i thought after a nite of sleep should be ok already but she's still lyk this. When i told her im going to src to swim in the afternoon then after tt going to help look after my nephew at my bro's place, she just said 'you wan to go where you go' (in a monotonous tone) :(

I really dun wana my last wk of stay at home to end wif a cold war btw my mum n i. Y doesnt she cool off after a day?? she's usually not lyk this n besides, its nt lyk it was a very big quarrel or anything, jus a tiff only.

Nx wk i'll be in hall for FOC n then sch starting. haiya, i hope everything will go back to normal tml!!

N my baby nephew is now on quarantine. cannot go to sch for a wk coz he's a suspected case of HFMD :S n the signs r getting clearer-rashes on the hand n foot with 'small white spots' growing in the mouth. Plus there were already 6 cases in his sch b4 he's starting to show signs of it.

Sign*... i really wan n hope tt EVERYTHING will pass quickly n return back to normal!

Hahha YAY!! i gotta drive today again FINALLY!
Lol after a week long wait which seems lyk forever, my dad finally went to collect his new car today!! Well, nt exactly new but its rather new hahah (2nd-hand one) n e best part is, its really my dad's car!! as in family car n not his 'car' as in cab hehe

Woohoo!! which means nx time i get to drive it out :)))
But as for now, i'll hafta brush up my driving skills n earn my parents' trust b4 i can get to drive out by myself - which i think still got a long way to go lol
Lyk today for example, as im driving out of an underground carpark, my dad reminded me to switch off the headlights. So i jus reached out to the switch beside the steering wheel n instead of turning off the headlights, i actually switched off the engine! alamek!!
hahah it was quite hilarious actually coz my dad was laughing at me n i was laughing at myself too.
Well, it wasnt totally my fault coz e headlight switch was rite beside e engine switch n the 'button' shape is abt e same too lol. N i thought i could do it jus by feeling n w/o having to look but apparently i was wrong ahahah

Cannot imagine if this happened on the highway when e car comes to a halt suddenly in e middle of e road :S
The consequences will be unthinkable!! Must remember to lOOk wat im switching off e nx time!

Went to src today to do so jogging n exercising. Took a shower n then went to visit jane who's working in BnJ at suntec. N she mistook me for her guy friend at first la when she saw my back!! lol coz of my hair.. Then we walked back to raffles city together n walked around for a while b4 my dad came n picked us up. Dropped her at the cathay while i went to pick up my nephew.

Hahahh she kept lamenting on how fat she grew after going to hk n taipei for a wk long holiday but when i saw her today, she still looked the Same! then when we walked past the 'quan yifeng' live slimming glass house thing in suntec n saw e advertisement "Free consultation n evaluation of body fat", she told me she had always wanted to go for tt n so i boldly called out to e promoters there to come n she got freaked out lOl
Honestly, i was pretty tempted to go. since its FREE ahahha but again, i dun really wana know how much fat i hav inside my body :S i bet e results will be kinda freaky HAH

jus came back frm some last minute shopping in NTUC. my mum was washing clothes jus now when she realised tt she had ran out of softener n kao tao bleach solution lol
lucky by then it was 930pm only so ntuc was sitll opened :)

then i walked past e durian shop outside there n was really tempted to asked my mum to buy one box for me. jus suddenly got e cravings n i guessed e durian uncle saw it n kept offering me discount. first was buy one get 2 free, then buy one get 3 free. by then i really wanted to buy already but when my mum found out how much one box cost she freaked out almost immediately. lOL it was 20bucks per box!?! for dunno wat D101 durian.

Then my mum jus keep harping how expensive it is n how we get to eat it for free when we're in msia blah blah, finally e uncle sold us one box at 4bucks HAHA coz he said he wana closed soon already so ching chai la lol. Gd deal yea!!

Padang shield s*** totally. Probably the worst game i ever played in a decade tts how bad it was.
supposed to be a bi-annual friendly game btw 2 clubs situated at both ends of the padang to 'qie chuo qie chuo' but in the end it went super unfriendly.
Racist comments were made(coz SCC is a ang moh club so there were ang moh players), vuglarities used, dirty play such as shoving n hooking n stepping on player's foot etc

Honestly, we all dun wan the game to end up so ugly n i really REALLY did tried my best to keep my cool. We kept reminding each other to not get bothered by wat e opponents r scolding us but so of them(not all of course) really went too farrr tt it really pissed me off.
It was so bad tt e umpire will suspend which ever team captain if her players continue to misbehave.
And to make matters worst - LOUSY to the MAXXX umpires who seriously, from the bottom of my heart needs to go for a refreshment course as well as getting a pair of spects each.
I cant help but kept thinking if e umpires were bribed coz of some incident tt happend in the game tt i dun wish to elaborate (afterall it was them who hired the umpires) though i mus say tt both teams received unfair umpiring frm the referees. in the end we lost 2-1 by taking in 2 soft goals.

After our game was the guys game n surprisingly their game turns out betta n friendlier than ours :) and at 730pm we had a buffet dinner hosted by SCC.
The food was goood n we enjoyed it!! we even mingled around wif some SCC players! (we dun bring wateva tt has happened in the game out of the field) Hahah though it was buffet, its lyk the high-end type wif wines n cocktails served by waiters n waitresses walking around n mussels, lobster, lamb, beef, chicken n fish all included in the menu as well as nice mini pastries such as tiramisu n choc. fudge cakes as desserts :D

Coz i din sleep much e nite b4, after everything has ended(speeches by the presidents frm each club respectively n prize-giving ceremony) i jus head strght home.

Went to church today n was supposed to go for the youth outing after service to bottle tree (prawn fishing n paintball shooting ) but i was so tired tt i decided to giv it a miss. went home strght away lol

And im SUPER excited abt smth tt i dun wish to disclose yet :))) hahaha those who know me well enuff will find out soon!!!

today was fun!!

hahaha first i woke up at around 9plus n had my breakfast b4 i realised tt the pest controller guys r here to smoke the drains n rubbish chutes.
N i HATE it whenevr they do tt coz all e cockroaches will be in a panic mood n try to run away frm the smoke-which is e rubbish chute n so they'll end up appearing in my kitchen near the chute instead :( n its SO irritating to see roaches of all sizes gasping for air n scrambling for their life on my kitchen floor-i decided to do them a favour.
I grabbed a chair, had the shieldtox in my right hand and the swatter in my left hand n sat near the chute. Everytime a cockroach comes out of the cabinet below the sink(my sink cabinet door it loose :S) i'll smack it n spray. HAH! at the end of everything abt 40mins later, i counted the no. of bodies on the floor n guess how many there were? 42 of them!! including parents n kids n babies lol Way de go yeaa!!

After tt i had lunch wif my mum, came back packed my things b4 heading town to meet yuqin n selvi. its been 4months since i last met them!! hahah n one of them actually put on weight! lyk so obvious can hahahh UWA sure fed here well :P

we met at food republic coz yq missed all th local delights n we had char kway tiao, hokkien mee n oyster omelette :S wah super unhealthy la! n roti prata too!!
We ate for very long lyk almost 2hrs?? hahah then after tt actually wanted to go to the toy'r'us in paragon but it began to rain :( n paragon is super by itself la-no underpass no linkway frm its neighbours shopping centre. in the end we went borders instead.

By then its 6pus already. so i met up wif denise n daph outside borders to go for dinner together b4 going for training. we ate at soup spoon(yes again coz its niceee!! lOl)
After which we're kinda late for training coz we're still in paragon at 730pm. stil hafta walk to DFS sc there to take a bus plus its peak hr.
in the end we took a train to newton first b4 cabbing to ccab. jus nice we reached there at 8pm hahah

Today trng is nt bad i would say coz there r some trngs which i felt tt im jus wasting my time coz din do or learn much(ok i know tts wrong but u know, sometimes jus cannot help it :S)
Did some long-dist. hitting b4 we played game against the guys n it was fun but tiring at the same time too hahaha

Tml morning(or more lyk in abt 6hrs time) gotta go ap again to send my sis-in-law off. she'll be away for one wk for a wk!! so hafta babysit my nephew the whole of nx wk coz my bro. mum n dad r all working. only im still holidaying :S
at first wanted to be SA for the engineering camp this coming wk but coz of this i cannot make it already :(

Tml afternoon im meeting the src ppl for lunch at cityhall too before going to the padang shield together in the afternoon. i really hope n wants to beat SCC!!!

Ok shall go sleep now. tml still hadta wake up at 615am :S

Hmphh! ITS NOT FAIR!!

Just finished my course registeration for yr2 n everything went super off.
Not coz i din plan my timetable but coz of how the system works. N if ure not frm ntu, u probably wouldnt know wat im taking abt.

I planned my timetable already-using starplanner of course, noted down the index no. of the timeslots tt i wanted for e respective modules n waited for the online registeration thing to open at 130pm.

BUT the thing is, e sch set it in such a way tt there r 2 big grps. one gets to register theirs first in e time allocated to them in e morning while e other grp gets to do it in e afternoon time slot.
N I happened to be in e afternoon grp so when its our turn to register the courses, almost ALL (lyk 4 outta 5courses) the timeslots tt i wanted r taken!!! Grr...

Hmoh! shouldnt e sch reserve some spaces in each timeslots for the afternn ppl?!?
N its not lyk i went in to register an hr later after it opened, i went in exactly at 130pm!
in the end, i hafta plan my timetable on e spot n make do wif wateva tts available :(
n its so kan cheong shit la coz as i was planning, i can see the number under e respective timeslots(vacancies) depleting, some at amzing speed lyk within a sec. n BOOM-no space already.
*sign.. so basically now, my timetable is quite screwed.
hafta bank in on the add-drop period, hoping tt i can change n improve my timetable during tt period.

Hahah today was nice :) went shopping wif mum this afternoon. met her outside ikea (tampines one) then we walked around in ikea n had lunch there in their cafe. their swedish meatballs n chicken wings ROX!! lol mum ate the set meal of the day which is chicken wif cauliflower n rice while i ate kids meal spag. n meatball PLUS chicken wings :D

then after tt we hopped over to giant to shop. Sch term staring n my mum wanted to buy a proper fridge n microwave for me to put in my rm(after i told her how SOME students uses it to 'microwave' their undies, socks n all lOl) haha but i told her my roomie getting e fridge n i dun really need a microwave. can save her e $$!

N lastly we went to courts - coz my mum saw this aunty carrying a plastic courts bag(as in a real bag n not tt type of ntuc plastic bags) near the shuttlebus area there n she asked her where she got it. when e aunty told my mum they r giving it FREE in courts, eh-hem, u should know wat happened nx :P

After tt my dad came n picked us up n we had a early dinner (at 5pm) b4 he sent me to church for bible study. n he came n picked me up again after it ended :D thanks dad!!

felt kinda hungry after reaching home, bought some snacks frm e pasir malam opposite my house n heard smth rare when i walked past a durian stall. the uncle was shouting "Ah.. lai ar lai ar! Offer now ar! buy ONE box get TWO FREE!! Lai ar lai ar!"
??? hahah but apparently ppl r not attracted to it. jus walked past n look at him lOl.
Its quite a tempting offer i mus say but NOPE, im gonna abstain frm durians after e amt tt i ate in msia :S

Shall go sleep now. tml still hafta reach church by 830am coz im teaching e kids in sun sch ahaha Gd nite :)

Just finished eating my lunch while watching movies online.
i feel so bored nowadays. basically, jus turning bad n sour at home.

And im completely broke now coz the guy jus came n collect the fees for the delivery n order of newspapers. 2 MONTHS somemore n tt sums up to abt 55bucks. parents not at home n all i had in my wallet was 30bucks. gotta dig out 25bucks frm my angbao money.
shit. should hav gone walking around for awhile after i bought my lunch instead of coming back home strght. then i wouldnt hav met him outside my house :(
Must remember to claim $$$ frm my dad later. if not i'll hafta survived on bread for e rest of the wk :S

Its funny how sometimes human think n behave. i could still remember the days where i forced myself to be in the study room frm morning til nite to get ready for exams. coming out only for toilet n meal breaks.
N half the time while im studying inside, no matter how hard i tried to concentrate n not digress frm the main task, there seemed to be this part of the brain in some ulu corner of my head, planning n coming out wif e list of things tt i would want to do after exams.
And the funny thing is, i only felt lyk doing all those during exams period!
after exams, when i finally got the time to do all those things, the urge n passion to do it is gone. except one thing la-have a gd nite sleep.
My hallmates hav the same sentiments too. Maybe feli is rite, its all in the fun of doing smth when ure not supposed to- lyk playing during exam periods. sleeping when ure supposed to be up etc.

Gotta leave my house in abt an hr time.

ok hway, im beginning to understand you why u said u r wasting oxygen by breathing when ure doing nth at home, basically jus rotting away. i feel the same now :( no more special sem. no work no nth, im jus watching movies n videos online ALL THE TIME! argh.. i feel so.. so useless!

went to pick up my nephew today n i actually forgot to take his shoes frm the shoe rack-coz i carried him.
i ordered teh-oh for my dad yesterday n forgot to add the gor song behind-my dad is diabetic so cannot take tea wif sugar.
my mum asked me to help her take the rice dumpling to my bro's place today n i took the one in the fridge instead of the one in the pot(which is heated up already). Lucky my mum din eat it if not sure end up wif a upset stomach one.

*Sign. These r jus so examples how im becoming more senile by doing nth at home except watching n watching movies :S
Luckily every fri i still hav club trng. at least there's something for me to look forward too- i've learnt to appreciate the joy of trng now since i no longer have the usual sch trngs. its actually nice to go for trngs, meet up wif frends, hav fun together n at e same time keep fit too :)

Went to meet lorraine today in town to discuss n plan our timetable together.
i dun get it, y cant e sch jus split our cohort into 2grps n plan for us 2 diff. timetable?? then we can swop wif e other grp after a sem. anw there're 2 sems only. y mus they get us to plan our own timetable?? N mus fight for the time slots tt we want too on the day of registration. if not sure end up wif all the 830am slots. basically its lyk the fastest fingers win!
first of all: choosing which modules to take is already a headache.
then come the worst part. PLANNING THE TIMETABLE.
we tried to aviod 83oam lesson(so tt dun hafta wake up so early) n tried to arrange such tt we end as early as possible on fri(then can go home earlier). here clashed there clashed ARGH! its so difficult to plan! It took us ONE hour jus to plan our timetable consisting of 5modules only. oh well, at least we managed to come out wif smth :)

after tt met up wif my jc hockey teammates for dinner. Wah heng i ate happy meal at macs already while planning the timetable wif lorraine. lol they actually took 1.5hrs jus to decide where to eat!!! they met at 7pm, i joined them at around 8pm. n we only sat down n eat at around 845pm or 9pm.
so by the time we finished our dinner, its 10plus already. orginally, i wanted to go wif e rest to send xunai to ap(she's going bkk AGAIN to shop). but it was pretty late so by the time we reach ap(if we take bus36 frm town) it would prolly be 11pm?? then my last bus leaves ap at 1115pm. Wats e pt rite?? n its an hr plus long journey back to hougang bus-interchange. n i still gotta changed another bus back home :S haiz..if only it was earlier.
So in e end, hway sheeyin qi n i decided not to go n went home instead.

Visited xiaoyuan wif hway n sheeyin at her work place b4 we headed off to somerset mrt station. Got her some food in case she complain abt gastric pain again lOl. knowing her i bet she prolly skipped a meal n go for work strght n sure enuff, she did hahah

Walked up n down orchard rd quite a few times today n its actually pretty tiring! shall go Zzz now.

Tml nite got src trng YAY! N meeting denise for dinner again b4 going to ccab 2gether hahah as usual.

Enxin, i think im lyk u now-no motivation to blog already hahah knowing myself, i dun think i'll be able to sustain blogging for very long lol. i hope to last though :)



Weekend was fun! had programmers' meeting on fri nite followed by seniors' camp on sat n sun. Coz of e meeting on fri nite, i slept over in e seminar rm wif 7 other ppl-pw, geraldine, joycelyn, huiming, lorraine, melissa n junjie since the senior camp starts e nx morning. After e meeting on fri, the 7 of us went to jp for supper but in e end only huiming n joycelyn ate. e rest of us jus had a drink.

Staying over in sem. rm is fun! haha got air-con somemore. did quite alot of stupid things such as taking photos wif shower caps n we even made a video of 'the slug n the stone' wif geraldine n pw as our main casts LoL. then after tt coz we all had a habit of sleeping late, we jus sat there n tok til abt 330am where we felt tt we mus force ourselves to sleep hahah if not during the camp we sure cmi. I tried to sleep but woke up again at 5am, feeling damn awake. rolled abt n sms for abt 45mins b4 i finally slept again.



We all set to our hp alarm to sound at 845am so tt we can have breakfast together at 915am but in e end, all of us jus slept til 920am hahah

but we still managed to hav our breakfast :)

after tt, we went to src for the first activity-pool games. din do much there besides tieing the tyres together. so in e end, all of us juis sat there to tan n some got dunk too(while some went in 'voluntarily' lOl rite pw??)



went to can2 for lunch b4 heading back to hall for a break. we (as in e 7 of us who slept there plus john n e 2 lorry drivers) were so bored tt we began to play asshole die di in e sem. rm for almost 2hrs. its was hilarious!

then later in the afternoon at around 4plus we went to canA to help the fright nite ppl do the doll's corpse n head b4 heading back to hall for dinner n to change n get ready for fright nite.



i was stationed at the 'tunnel' near macs there. a super dark place(still under renovation) wif a tunnel n 3rms. N when the door is closed, the air very still plus got abit of the musty smell too so the atmosphere there was pretty scary. even though there r lyk of 5 of us stationed there, we were all scared at first too but sort of got used to it after a while.

when i came out for some fresh air, i met one of my jc frend who happened to be there for a church camp. so i asked her for some ppl to try out our 'tunnel' lol n sure enuff, e atmosphere in there freaked most of them out except for my frend. haha i must say she is super brave la!
too bad i gotta leave at around 11pm, coz got church the nx morning. haiya, missed out the fun part when our own ppl starts to walk the trail. oh well anw there's still the actual FOC! :)

on sun morning after the service, i went to watch narnia wif my church frends at sunplaza- sun was the last day to catch prince caspian as they'll stop screening the movie after tt.
head strght to bugis after e show to meet up wif the rest for e amazing race stationed there.
Then when tt is done, i went to meet gavin n harris at somerset for dinner at waraku. it was my first time eating there n seriously the fd is not bad! n e price is reasonable too :)
after tt we jus walked around orchard b4 going for dessert at bakerzin in paragon. the guys ate souffles wif soda while i jus drank plain water coz i was still very full then. ahhaha guys can sure eat alot!

Today was jus a normal day for me. wanted to go for a run but was too lazy in the end. picked up my nephew at 6pm b4 going to my bro's place for dinner.
